Description

These high-quality pressure switches have been developed especially for safety-critical applications. The high quality of the products and manufacturing in accordance with ISO 9001 ensure reliable monitoring of your plant. In production, the switches are traced by quality assurance software at every step and subsequently are 100 % tested. All wetted materials are from stainless steel as a standard.
In order to ensure as flexible operation as possible, the pressure switches are fitted with micro switches, which enable the switching of an electrical load of up to AC 250 V, 20 A directly.
For lower switching power ratings, such as for PLC applications, argon gas-filled micro switches with gold-plated contacts can be selected as an option.

For applications with special requirements on the wetted parts, versions with materials from PTFE, Monel or Hastelloy are available.

By using a diaphragm measuring system, the model MA pressure switch is extremely robust and guarantees optimaloperating characteristics.

For setting ranges from 4 … 40 bar a piston replaces or completes the diaphragm as a measuring element. The wetted parts of this variant from stainless steel are particularly suited for liquid media.

The process connection with a centre distance of 54 mm lower mount allows an easy and comfortable mounting of a standard valve manifold.

Description

Leading in design and functionality
The electronic pressure switch model PSD-4 pressure switch represents the extensive further development of thePSD-30  electronic pressure switch, itself already awarded with the “iF product design award” for its outstanding functionality. A high accuracy of 0.5 %, freely configurable output signals (PNP/NPN, 4 … 20 mA/0 … 10 V), the 5:1 scalability of the analogue output, in addition to outstanding self-diagnostics, make the PSD-4 an excellent automation solution.

Customised installation
The installation of the PSD-4 can be flexibly adapted to the individual mounting situation. Due to the almost unlimited rotation of the digital display and case by more than 300°, the digital display can be adjusted independently of the electrical connection. The digital display can thus always be aligned to face the operator, and the M12 x 1 connection positioned to suit the desired cable routing.

High quality
During development of the WIKA switch family a high value was placed on a robust design and the selection of appropriate materials suited to machine-building applications. For this reason the case and the threaded connection of the electrical connector are made from stainless steel. Overwinding or tearing off the connector is therefore virtually impossible.

IO-Link 1.1
With the optional output signal in accordance with the IO-Link communication standard, the PSD-4 electronic pressure switch allows a fast integration into modern automation systems. IO-Link offers simpler and faster installation, parameterisation and higher functionality for the PSD-4.

Description

The high-quality mechanical pressure switches have been developed especially for safety-critical applications with limited space. The high quality of the products and manufacturing in accordance with ISO 9001 ensure reliable monitoring of your plant.

In production, the mechanical pressure switches are traced by quality assurance software at every step and subsequently are 100 % tested.

All wetted parts are from stainless steel as a standard. The switch enclosure is available in aluminium alloy or stainless steel. To adjust the set point simply open the access cover plate. This access can be sealed as an option. The access to the terminal block for the electrical connection is protected by a screw-on lid, which is secured with a screw-type lock against unauthorised intervention.

The mechanical pressure switches are fitted with one micro switch, which enables the switching of an electrical load of up to AC 250 V, 15 A directly. For lower switching power ratings, such as for PLC applications, argon gas-filled micro switches with gold-plated contacts can be selected as an option. For two separate circuits the switches are also available in the version DPDT (double pole double throw).

By using a diaphragm with antagonist spring as measuring element, the model PCA mechanical pressure switch is extremely robust and guarantees optimal operating characteristics. For medium and high setting ranges starting at 3 … 25 bar, a piston replaces or completes the diaphragm as a sensor element. The piston sensor element is designed for the specific requirements of liquid media.

Description

The model PSD-4-ECO is a programmable electronic pressure switch designed specifically for OEM customers. With IO-Link 1.1, the cost-effective and reliable model PSD-4-ECO is a future-proof automation solution. Through individual factory pre-configuration, the pressure switch can also be quickly and simply integrated into the machine without any programming effort.

Fast error detection through colour feedback
With the model PSD-4-ECO pressure switch, it is very easy to determine if the system is operating within the desired pressure range. The instrument can be parameterised such that the digital display lights up green when the value is within the defined pressure range and red if not. In this way, problems can be identified early.

Optimised for tight mounting spaces
With a diameter of 29 mm, the model PSD-4-ECO is very slim. Through the arrangement of the electrical output, it can be installed so that it uses little space. The display head can be rotated through 335° and the display tilted electronically through 180°, so that the pressure display is always aligned
towards the user.

Optimised for OEM integration
The pressure switch is specially adapted to the requirements of OEM series production. For example, units of 25 pieces reduce the packaging material and make handling easier.
Customer-specific pre-configuration by WIKA or automated parameterisation via IO-Link 1.1 saves time and simplifies the integration process.

Designed for harsh ambient conditions
Tough: The model PSD-4-ECO pressure switch is designed for medium temperatures from -40 … +125 °C. In addition, it withstands mechanical shocks up to 50 g and high electrical loads. This makes it a highly economical and reliable solution.
