<p><strong>CHARACTERISTICS OF OPERATIONS</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>units of HYDROSYS series</strong> consist of a liquid-ring vacuum pump of the series TRH, TRS, TRM, TRV, of an air-liquid cyclone separator, of a heat exchanger, all units being mounted on one compact frame. During the operation, the vacuum pump ejects the sucked gas from the delivery port and also part of the service liquid which is present inside it and which must be continuously made up. The air-liquid mixture is delivered to a cylindric tank where the separation occurs: the gas comes out from the upper delivery port of the tank, ready to be sent again to the vacuum pump. During the suction and compression cycle, the vacuum pump transfer all the work carried out under the form of heat to the service liquid, which, of course, before being recycled, shall be cooled down either by means of a heat exchanger (total circuit) or by the supply of fresh liquid from outside (partial circuit).</p>
<ul>
<li>The operation by <strong>TOTAL RECIRCULATION</strong> does not require an external supply of operation liquid if not only the one that is evaporated, if any, or that is ejected together with the discharge gases. The correct dimensioning of the heat exchanger only requires a minimum amount of fresh liquid (usually water) so that the ideal temperature can be maintained for the correct operation of the vacuum pump (please remember that the hotter the operation liquid is, the more loss of suction capacity the pump suffers both in flowrate and in maximum vacuum degree: see the technical information given in our catalogue for vacuum pumps). This system is particularly suitable, when the service liquid or the condensable sucked gases cannot be eliminated outside due to reasons of pollution or to recuperation requirements and cost reasons (see our diagram on page 6).</li>
<li>The <strong>PARTIAL RECIRCULATION </strong>operation, instead requires a constant supply of fresh liquid from outside, that is of the same kind as the one circulating inside the unit, since the mixing of the external fresh liquid with the one that is inside the unit keeps the constant temperature of the fresh liquid at the vacuum pump inlet. According to the amount of liquid supplied from outside, the same amount will be eliminated through the discharge located on the center line of the tank (see drawing on page 6). This type of operation is sometimes advantageous if this is required by the flowrate and vacuum characteristics, (for example low vacuum or intermittent operation) or when the service liquid is not polluted and does not create elimination problems. Of course, since a cooling liquid with correct amount and temperature is not available, this remains the only alternative to the total circuit. Several accessories are available to meet particular requirements of plant, of process and of maintenance, and furthermore, it is possible to design particular units, upon request, in co-operation with our Sales Office.</li>
</ul>
<p>The <strong>HYDROSYS series</strong> can also be used to work as a compressor up to a maximum pressure of 2 bar, higher than the suction pressure by using tanks and accessories according to ISPESL standards.</p>

<p><strong>CHARACTERISTICS OF OPERATIONS</strong></p>
<p><strong> OILSYS systems</strong> includes a liquid ring vacuum pump from our series TRH, TRS, TRM, TRV, a separator tank which also as a frame, heat exchanger and oil demister to remove oil fumes.</p>
<p>Mineral oil, or equal, is used as service liquid. This fluid has physical properties such that enhances to pump performance and attainable amximun vacuum particularly for vacuum &lt; 100 mbar. The gas handled by the vacuum pump is discharged with some of the service oil into the special frame which acts as gas/oil separator and allows separation from the oil of any evacuated condensables.</p>
<p>The oil is returned to the vacuum pump by means of a circulation pump after being cooled to about 60°C (140° F) through the heat exchanger. The gas is vented after being filtered of any oil through the specially engineered oil demister filter.<br />
A pressur gauge at the filter housing will indicate over pressure when the oil demister filter is plugged and needs replacement. Inspection openings are strategically located at the separator tank-frame to facilitate maintenance and cleaning.</p>
<p>Contrary to rotary vane pumps, these liquid ring vacuum pumps do not require lubrication, therefore contamination of oil by condensables or solid particles is not demaging.</p>
<p>The rugged and reliable construction of the liquid ring vacuum pump is matched by the generously engineered built OILSYS system.</p>

<p><strong>HYDROTWIN</strong> package has been developed in close co-operation with Bora Blowers, which specialises in manufacturing pressure and vacuum boosters. A sophisticated electronic control for booster operations has been developed to prevent risks of booster seizure in the event that operating conditions exceed allowable working parameters.</p>

<p><strong>PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS</strong></p>

<li><strong>LESS INSTALLED POWER</strong>. Reduce to a minimum the absorbed power. In comparison with the traditional systems the saving is considerable and can be in the range of 30 &#8211; 40%.</li>
<li><strong>OVERHEATING PROTECTION</strong>. Have total protection against booster seizure that can be caused by overheating that can be caused when its operation is outside the allowed limits. Standard temperature sensors located in the Roots discharge casing area cannot show, in real time, possible elevated temperature of the lobes, these are normally the first components subject to thermal expansion. With the Hydrotwin temperature control is performed by monitoring the compression ratios. Electronic control DVD2 works on the Roots of the problem and not on the consequential causes.</li>
<li><strong>ROOTS ROTATION FULLY ADJUSTABLE</strong>. The Roots RPM are controlled by means of an inverter that receives the signals from a PLC. Hydrotwin ensures plant optimization with best possible efficiency.</li>
<li><strong>COMPACT DESIGN</strong>. The package design has been done studying each component with the target to enable maximum efficiency in the smaller possible space. The overall hydrotwin dimensions give ample installation possibilities.</li>
<li><strong>EASY PLC ADJUSTMENT</strong>. In case of &#8220;on the fly&#8221; adjustments the PLC (DVD2) installed is user friendly. It takes few seconds to recall and change the most important parameters. This is ensuring the possibility to run the production always at best efficiency.</li>
<li><strong>PRECISE VACUUM LEVEL SETTABLE</strong>. Set and maintain the desired vacuum level, optimizing the quality and minimizing waste in those processes where maintaining the vacuum level stability is very important to get the final product.</li>
<li><strong>PLUG AND PLAY</strong> <strong>product</strong>. It is ready-to-use. All necessary settings have already been made at our factory. Possible adjustments, if needed, do not require qualified technicians. It takes a minute to change the few main parameters. The operating costs for electronic technicians are completely eliminated. <p><strong>CHARACTERISTICS OF OPERATIONS</strong></p>
<p>The new series <strong>HYDROPACK</strong> represents the best solution to have compact-size, efficiency and functionality in <strong>TOTAL RECIRCULATION</strong> liquid ring vacuum systems.</p>
<p>The pump is mounted on a single skid, which is used as separator tank (air/water) and through a heat exchanger, it is possible to maintain a stable and low working temperature.</p>
<p>The level of the service liquid, always in the middle of the pump, pemits a safety start-up and a regular working, even with low vacuum. This new system is also characterised by a long self-sufficiency, due to the high quantity of water that it can contain.<br />
Eventual accessories, like electric valves and/or level gauges, can be easily installed, in order to meet different customers&#8217; plants requests.</p>
<p><strong>PARTIAL RECIRCULATION</strong> is also possible, using a more compact skid and removing the internal heat exchanger, with a very low consumption of the service liquid, optimizable according to working necessities.<br />
It is possible to install every pump of our range of production (TRH, TRS, TRM, TRV) up to a maximum capacity and power of 800 m3/h and 30 kW.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The <strong>positive displacement POMPETRAVAINI &#8211; BORA lobe pumps</strong> are characterized by innovative design and solutions that enhance performance, reliability and low life-cycle operating costs.</p>
<p>The<strong> three-lobe rotor </strong>of every  <strong>POMPETRAVAINI &#8211; BORA</strong> product is the evolution of the classic bi-lobe design, shaped like an “eight”. This design ensures higher bending stiffness, and lower pulsation amplitude that consequently reduces vibration. The economic advantage in the bearing life is appreciable. The compressor noise is remarkably decreased as well.</p>
<p>The<strong> synchro-gears</strong> of every  <strong>POMPETRAVAINI &#8211; BORA</strong> product are case hardened and tempered. Gears are accurately ground to ensure optimal timing. The “long addendum” involute design gives maximum efficiency with virtually silent mechanical operation. This design allows the vacuum boosters to be installed without a sound canopy.</p>
<p>The <strong>mechanical noise</strong> is kept to a minimum as a result of accurate design and assembly. The gear lubricant is a long lasting, low viscosity PAO oil that enhances the machine cooling. The lubricant can be supplied “food grade” for certain applications. These features all help to decrease the machine’s life cycle cost.</p>
<p><strong>Pump’s body, sump, and covers</strong> are assembled with flat gasket (blowers/exausters) or O-Ring seals (booster HV) to ensure maximum tightness. This results in increased reliability which decreases maintenance costs.</p>
<p>The<strong> sealing of the rotors</strong> is achieved with labyrinth seals, which do not contact and therefore do not create friction. This is ideal for the rotor’s high rotation speed. This solution saves money due to the decrease in energy dissipation and absence of any other expensive cooling system.</p>
<p><strong>Shaft sealing</strong> with double Silicon Carbide/Graphite mechanical seals ensures high reliability and durability. The diameter of the shaft is specifically designed in order to maximize strength and reduce peripheral speed and the associated friction. Low maintenance and decreased risk of down time are the advantages that result in maximized cost savings.</p>

<p><strong>VOLUMETRIC BLOWER</strong></p>
<p>The<strong> volumetric blower</strong> is an ‘oil-free’ lobe pump for air or non aggressive/non explosive gases suitable to operate with a maximum backpressure of 1000 mbar (g) at discharge and a maximum vacuum of -500 mbar (g), within the allowable temperature limits.</p>
<p>VERSIONS:</p>
<ul>
<li>Standard version with rotors supported by bearings on both ends, available for models 163 through 883. Vertical or horizontal inlet-outlet flanges available.</li>
<li>The compact version, which has a cantilever design and an axial inlet, is available for models 73 and 103. The axial inlet significantly improves the volumetric efficiency above 2500 RPM. The energy consumption is much lower if compared to the traditional design, thus ensuring sensible savings on the running costs.</li>

<p><strong>EXHAUSTERS AC</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>air cooled (AC) Exhauster</strong> is an ‘oil free’ rotary lobe pump for air or non aggressive/non explosive gases suitable to operate with a maximum vacuum of -0.85 bar (g), within the allowable temperature limits.</p>
<p>The AC Exhauster package is composed of baseframe, AC Exhauster, motor with belt drive, inlet silencer with filter, AC manifold with silencer, output silencer.</p>

<p><strong>VACUUM BOOSTER</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>Booster HV</strong> is an ‘oil free’ pump for air or non aggressive/ non explosive gasses suitable to work in series with a backing pump. This is done in order to increase the vacuum level while decreasing the time it takes to reach it. The maximum vacuum for the Booster HV is 0.001 mbar (a), within the temperature limits. The FP version is optimized for applications in food packaging.</p>
